Insave is a free, web-based tool that helps people save public Instagram content they are legally allowed to keep a copy of — such as their own posts, memes shared by friends, creative reels, and inspiration boards for personal reference. We believe content you already see in your feed should be accessible for offline viewing, personal archives, and educational use.
Our goal is to provide a simple, fast, and privacy-respecting downloader that works on any device without requiring software installation, account registration, or personal information.
Insave supports downloading from a wide range of Instagram content types:
Our service uses Instagram’s public content endpoints, the same ones used by the official Instagram embed feature. When you paste a URL, Insave fetches the public metadata, extracts the media, and streams it directly to your device. The server does not retain submitted URLs or downloaded files. After a successful extraction, Recent Links automatically stores up to five source URLs, content types, and timestamps in your browser's localStorage, where you can clear them at any time. The history list is not separately uploaded or synchronized, but a link is sent to the extraction endpoint when you submit or reuse it. Consent-gated analytics measure aggregate events without submitted URLs. No accounts are required.
